Decision-stage · Founder-led

The question this service answers: "should we do this, and how?"

Not a diagnosis (that's Audit), not a build (that's Development). Consulting is where a decision gets made — sized, sequenced, and de-risked — before money is committed to building anything.

Where this service starts and stops

To keep this clear against our other four services:

Consulting includes

Deciding whether to build, buy, or leave a system alone. Sizing the ROI of a move. Sequencing a multi-year plan. Advising on go-to-market, IS strategy, security posture, or AI priorities.

Consulting does not include

Mapping your current tools (that's Audit). Writing the code (that's Development). Running the systems day to day (that's Infrastructure).

We don't sell advice — we sell relevance and results

We deliberately push back on the word "consultant" when it implies someone who only talks. A consultant who only gives advice is a cost centre. We show up having already done the thing we are advising on — and we leave you with something that changed, not a deck.

That framing is not ours alone. It is how Julie Sweet, CEO of Accenture, describes the two things clients actually pay for:

Relevance

Knowing what matters for your business today and where it is heading tomorrow — not a generic industry template.

Results

Not just a recommendation — the change itself, executed, measured, and handed over working.

Full context on where that framing comes from, and the story behind why pretty PowerPoints no longer buy loyalty, is on the methodology subpage →

What we cover

Our registered purpose spans commercial development, information systems, digital transformation, digital marketing, and security/cybersecurity consulting. In practice, engagements cluster around four areas:

Commercial & digital transformation

Go-to-market, digital marketing strategy, and the operating changes needed to make transformation stick.

Information systems strategy

Where to build, where to buy, where to own — decisions grounded in what we've shipped, not a vendor-neutral template.

Security & cybersecurity advisory

Control and audit work aligned with our registered purpose — assessed against real deployments, not checklists alone.

AI & automation strategy

Where AI and automation actually change a P&L — sized, prioritised, and sequenced. Building the workflow is Automation; building private knowledge and inference systems is Intelligence.

Pricing

We prefer to name a price. When a sprint is genuinely bespoke, we give an order of magnitude before any contract is signed — never an open-ended day rate with no ceiling.

Formula Scope Timeline Price
Focused sprint
Single decision or workstream (e.g. go-to-market plan, IS strategy direction)
4 weeks
On request — order of magnitude given upfront
Full sprint
Multi-workstream transformation plan, board-ready
6–8 weeks
On request — order of magnitude given upfront
Advisory retainer
Ongoing founder-level advisory, capped hours per month
Monthly
On request

Payment follows the same discipline as the rest of our services: milestone-based, never 100% upfront, never invoice-at-the-end.

Who this is for

Leadership teams who have already sat through a strategy deck that told them what they knew, and want the next conversation to start from proof instead.
